Special Olympics is a movement built on inclusion, where every person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. We are helping make the world a better, healthier, and more joyful place through the power of sport.

State Winter Games presented by Wellpoint Tennessee takes place at several venues in beautiful Gatlinburg, TN - including Ober Mountain, the Gatlinburg Convention Center and Rocky Top Sports World.

The Ober Mountain portion of the event includes competitions in 3 sports:

  • Skiing

  • Snowboarding

  • Speed Skating


The event includes an Opening Ceremony, a victory celebration, group dinners. Healthy Athletes screenings and much more!
